Pain and Palliative Care

This unit provides prompt palliative care through different modalities of services & immediate management of pain to patients at any stage of the disease (mostly terminally ill) with an intention for an improved quality of life. The services provided here have managed to garner recognition throughout the region which is reflected through the influx of patients from various government and private medical colleges & hospitals of eastern India.

It is the State Nodal Centre for palliative care activity and morphine availability. It provides palliative care services like pain relief, symptom relief to all inpatients and out patients needing such services. The clinic regularly organizes IAPC training programme through contact session and conducts IAPC certificate exams twice a year.
