Actor Manasi Parekh in tears while receiving Best Actress National award: Manasi Parekh, an actress, couldn’t hold back tears as she accepted the prestigious Best Actress National Award for her role in the critically praised Gujarati film Kutch Express.
In New Delhi on October 8, President Droupadi Murmu gave the star an award at Vigyan Bhavan. As she stood for the picture with the prise, Manasi cried. She tied for the Best Actress award with Nithya Menen, who won for her role in Thiruchitrambalam with Dhanush.
Manasi had already talked about the honour. She told India Today Digital, “I’ve been getting calls and messages nonstop, and I’ve been crying for about an hour and a half.” I’m fine now. All of my makeup has disappeared.

For starters, it’s amazing that I won Best actor and that I get to share it with Nithya Menen, who is also a great regional actor. Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon shared this award last year. Manasi also talked about filming Kutch Express in the interview.
She said, “We were working very hard, and there was always this feeling that this film is going to be something magical.” Ratna Pathak Shah, who has been in a lot of movies, told me five days into the shoot, “Manasi, I’m so proud and happy that this is my first Gujarati film.”
It makes me proud to work with you and your husband. We were all thinking that this was a really great movie. That’s now been proven by the National Award. We were always proud of the movie, though.
Kutch Express is directed by Viral Shah and stars Ratna Pathak Shah, Dharmendra Gohil, Darsheel Safary, and Viraf Patell in important roles.
