Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted and cooled
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar or light brown sugar
  • 1 large egg room temperature
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup room temperature
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Place parchment paper on a cookie sheet and set it aside. The butter should be melted and then allowed to cool.

Put the flour, oats, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, and salt into a bowl that is slightly larger than medium.

Brown sugar and cooled butter should be whisked together in a large bowl. After adding the egg, mix it in. After that, incorporate the maple syrup by whisking it until it is completely smooth.

After adding the dry ingredients, continue to mix until a cookie dough that is soft is formed. To avoid over-mixing! Roll the cookie dough into six balls and lay them on the cookie sheet that has been prepared.

Bake for ten to fifteen minutes. My time was thirteen minutes. In order for the cookies to be ready, the edges should be a golden brown color, but the interior should have a very soft appearance.

Taking the cookies out of the oven, allow them to cool for a few minutes on the hot pan before serving them warm or after they have totally cooled down, and then enjoy!
