In the next Harry Potter television show, children from the United Kingdom and Ireland will have the opportunity to play the roles of their beloved characters.

made more than $7.75 billion from movies based on the original books, so it is not a surprise that the company wants to bring the story and characters back to the big screen, but this time as a TV show.
Reports from Variety say that open casting has started for the new HBO show Harry Potter.
The search for a new Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger began on September 8 online. Casting directors are looking for people from the UK and Ireland who will be 9 to 11 years old in April 2025.
Parents and legal guardians have until October 31 to send in their child’s audition entry through Cast It Talent, which is the only way to do so right now.
Candidates must post two videos: a 30-second video of them reading a short story or poem and a one-minute video of them talking about themselves, including their date of birth, height, place of residence, and loved ones.
Anything can be used as writing, even their own work, but Harry Potter should not be in it. Also, kids are told to use their own voices when they talk.
Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint are the three main characters in Harry Potter, but the production is not exactly looking for people who look like them.

The new Harry Potter show will film in the UK from 2025 to 2026. Francesca Gardiner will be in charge of the run. The launch date has not been set yet, but Warner Bros. Discovery hopes it will happen sometime in 2026.
