Aspirants for the UPSC have stories that are full of examples of unwavering drive, persistence, and big sacrifices. One of these amazing stories is that of Anu Kumari, who is a great example of sticking to your goals and being dedicated. Your journey shows the unbreakable spirit that keeps people going after their dreams, no matter what.

Anu Kumari started studying for the UPSC exam while also taking care of her young son. She knew that studying for the civil services test would be very hard. To fully focus on this goal, she had to make the hard choice to temporarily split from her child and start a strict study routine.

Anu Kumari began her education in Sonipat, Haryana, and got her Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Physics from Delhi University. After that, she went to IMT Nagpur and got an MBA in Finance and Marketing. She then got a good job in the private sector that paid well. Even though she was successful in her career, she really wanted to work for the government.

Anu went to Gurugram with her husband after getting married in 2012 and started having children. But the desire to be an IAS servant never went away. Because she wanted more than just money, she took the brave step of quitting her well-paying job to follow her real love, which was working in public services.

“My job was good, but there was no internal satisfaction,” Anu Kumari once said about this major change. It turned into something so automatic that I couldn’t go on from there. This understanding made her decide to follow her true calling, even though she knew it would be hard and unsure.

It wasn’t easy for her. She was away from her son for almost two years and had to study a lot. She didn’t give up, even after a sad close call on her first try.

She wasn’t down when things went wrong; instead, she used them as opportunities to grow. She reached an amazing milestone on her second try by getting an All India Rank (AIR)-2 and becoming an IAS officer. Anu Kumari is an example to many people today because she showed that unwavering determination and focus are key to making your dreams come true.

People can learn a lot from her story, which is a strong lesson that success comes from working hard and not giving up. Anu Kumari’s story shows how hard work and dedication can change things, and it also shows that when someone is driven by purpose, no task is too big.
