– 1 ½ cups mochiko (glutinous rice flour) – 1 ½ cups water – 1 ¼ cups white sugar, divided – 2 drops distilled white vinegar – ½ cup potato starch – ¼ teaspoon salt
Combine mochiko, water, and one cup of sugar in a bowl of medium size and mix them together thoroughly.
Stir until all of the ingredients are combined. To make the mixture more malleable, some vinegar should be added to it.
Take the food and heat it in the microwave for eight to ten minutes on high. As soon as it is safe to handle, remove it from the container and let it to cool down.
The potato starch, the remaining quarter cup of sugar, and the salt should be combined in a small basin and stirred together properly.
Mochi should be turned out onto the plastic wrap, and then a plastic or wooden knife should be used to cut it into 25 pieces.
